The three-storey building is situated on a steep slope, and its main elevation material wood communicates the buildings function as a nature information centre. The structural members and interior surfaces of the Haltia are made of CLT timber. The building consists of a multipurpose hall, exhibition spaces, teaching spaces, library and cafeteria.
