The redbrick church of Olari was built based on the winning entry in an architecture competition in 1976. The architect Käpy and Simo Paavilainen designed the chapel that was completed in 1981.
The Olari church consists of three buildings: the main assembly building and two parish centre buildings. A sheltered courtyard is formed in between the buildings. The interiors are full of natural light which is emphasised by light-coloured surfaces. The floors are made of red brick, which is also the primary elevation material. The main entrance is situated on the south elevation, next to the parking lot.
