Espoonlahti Church is one of the sacred buildings designed by architect brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen. The church was designed to be the religious centre of the new suburbs of southern Espoo. The site, near the commercial centre of Espoonlahti, is surrounded by woods.

The church was completed in 1980. Some of its focal features, such as the use of raw concrete, granite stone and copper, is similar to the main work of the Suomalainen brothers, Temppeliaukio church. Espoonlahti church is one of the late examples of the Brutalism in Finnish architecture.
