Villa Favre is a two-family house in the northern part of Lausanne, next to Lake Geneva. The house consists of a 200-square-meter apartment, where the Favre family lives, and a 100-square-meter rental apartment. With an irregular hexagon shape at the base, the building offers privacy for two families: the entrances are placed in different directions, and the angle of the windows blocks the view of the neighboring yard.

The ground floors of both apartments are used for eating, working and socializing, while the upper floor is for resting and relaxing. The shutters can be closed at night, and the building almost seems to close its eyes when going to sleep.

The exterior cladding materials also tell about the different uses of the floors. Concrete and wooden striping are a reflection of the wooded environment. The generous roof terrace with plantings is the crown of the composition: from there you can enjoy a wonderful view of the hilly landscape.
