Architecture students Hilla Rudanko and Anssi Kankkunen from Finland designed a vocational school in Cambodia as a course project. Together with the locals, they developed a viable and realistic solution which was eventually implemented in 2011.
The partly one and partly two-storey building is brick-framed. The colourful shutters give the building a distinctive character. An open canopy is situated in front of the building. The classroom space is on the ground floor. The Sra Pou vocational school was the first public building in Sra Pou village. The open room plan enables various public gatherings for the villagers.
