Helsinki has an impressive history in Art Nouveau architecture. With its over six hundred Art Nouveau buildings, it proudly compares to well-known Art Nouveau cities such as Brussels and Barcelona. This selection presents some of the finest examples of Helsinki Art Nouveau.

In 2019, Helsinki City Museum published a comprehensive guide book on Helsinki’s Art Nouveau gems. This selection here was composed in collaboration with the museum. Most of the building description texts and photos were first published in the book Art Nouveau in Helsinki.
