In renovation, the facade of the Finnish National Board of Education was redecorated on the glass front. The goal of the renovation was the technical and urban improvement of the complex, so the whole character of the building was shaped and structured. The transformation was completed in 2009.

The interior of the building was also rebuilt. The renovation included a parking floor below the yard as well as a floor, joined to the deck structure, for customer services, educational purposes, restaurant, and other communal facilities.  The renovation comprehended also six office floors and a sauna section located on the top floor.

Due to the renovation, the property was better dimensioned to suit the nearest environment. The main facade on the shore-side was split into two dimensions with a visual opening at the base of the north wing. The frame was narrowed to the full height by demolishing a part of the seaside office zone and transforming the joining piece into transparent, open landscape scenarios, which made the overall impression and the main entrance brighter.

The insulation and the surface of the facade of the building were renewed and the 1970s concrete relief surface and the elemental-structure-emphasizing exterior were demolished. The supporting concrete shell was retained, insulated, and draped with white, matte finish panels and facade cladding. White glazed facade was rasterised dimly.
